Weblog Review

This weblog has been reviewed by a Pakistani IT magazine, Spider. They rated it among the top 5 Pakistani weblogs.

Why did Zack choose to call his blog “Procrastination” and also define the term in the header? Don’t we all procrastinate when we make our blog entries? Apart from that tiny gaffe, Zack has done a pretty good job with his site where one can always find interesting links to visit. The widely traveled 32-year-old used to live in Islamabad six years back before moving to the USA where he is currently a graduate student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

OK, so I agree “Procrastination” wasn’t exactly creative on my part, but I am not changing it now. However, I have been thinking of changing the tagline (“An excuse to delay work with writings on politics, religion, photography, travel, movies, etc.”) below it. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I got a well-deserved low score of 2 on design, but made it up with a content score of 4.

  1. I think “Procrastination” is just the right name for it. Pretty self-explanatory!

May be the Spider didn’t understand it fully.

And it doesn’t necessarily mean all the bloggers are procrastinating on work while writing blogs, just that you do 🙂

Anyway congrats on being so popular.

  2. Your weblog is procrastination, so the the title. Do not change even shape of it now. Remember, this name, shape and presentation raised your weblog far above Pakistani ones in the Asia Blog Contest last year. Some voters may have voted for your name but many voted for it’s presentation and quality.

  3. Congratulations Zack, this is well deserved. I wouldn’t change the name of your blog, your output is too productive to be properly described as procrastination; but then I suppose the latter is as much a state of mind as anything else 😉

  4. Spider has been quite notoriously reviewing sites (yeah, I have only concern with web sites here) without giving any criteria or explaining the basis of the criteria. Quite recently, they finally posted some explanation on the site as well as some details about their Best Of Pakistan awards, which are still far from pragmatic reviews and awards. If I were at Spider to review this month’s blog awards, I would give 4 out of 5 for design to this blog. Obviously, it could be debatable if you don’t get what the broader sense of design could be. But this blog deserves 4/5 for design. And what does 4/5 for content means? Khairrr, all the best zack bro for future rewards 🙂
