Blue is part of a trilogy by director Krzysztof Kieslowski with the other movies being White and Red (I guess that would make them the colors of the French flag.)
The director seems to be going for the French motto of “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” with the trilogy with this movie being about “liberty”. I didn’t exactly think it as appropriate as the director did, I guess.
The movie is about a woman (Juliette Binoche) who loses her husband and daughter in an accident and tries to withdraw from the world. Juliette Binoche is, as always, good.
Overall, the movie is good. I would give it a rating of 7/10.
