Head-On or Gegen die Wand is a Turkish German film about a young woman who marries (a marriage of convenience) a guy to escape her strict and conservative family.
While the premise was good and parts of the movie were decent, overall it did not capture us as its audience. That is why I would give it a rating of 6/10.
I loved it, mostly based on the premise, but I thought they pulled it off well too (the acting and everything really). Heartbreaking.
Now I don’t know any German Turks, so I can’t really access it’s accuracy, but the film also painting a pretty vivid picture of that subculture.
