I am back from the Golden State. I know I said I would be blogging from there but I was just too busy and the DSL at my hotel was not free either. We met a number of old friends at the wedding. The wedding was a regular Pakistani one meaning that it spanned three… Continue reading I am Back

Going to California
We are going to California tomorrow. A friend is getting married in the Bay area. I love the San Francisco area. So hoping to have loads of fun. I think our hotel room has broadband internet access. So there might be light blogging. We will be back on Monday.
Kayak Touring
I am going to a kayaking trip on Lake Tugalo on the border of Georgia and South Carolina. It is a 2 day trip and I’ll be back on sunday afternoon.
Wedding
We are going to a friend’s wedding in Cape Cod. I won’t have internet access there. Blogging will resume after I return sunday night.
Kayaking
I went kayak touring (also known popularly as sea kayaking, though we were obviously not on the sea in this trip) on Lake Oconee yesterday. It was a lot of fun and tiring. I am thinking about going on an overnight lake trip later this month in which we’ll kayak and hike. There were some… Continue reading Kayaking
Change of Plan
We cancelled our Maine camping plan because there will be some heavy rain there and it’ll be raining all weekend with a probability close to 100% according to the National Weather Service. Plus the visibility might not be great either. We’ll decide in the morning what to do. We might go somewhere else where it’s… Continue reading Change of Plan
Going to Maine
I am flying out to Jersey in a couple of hours. We’ll then drive to Maine for the long weekend. I’ll be back Monday night. No blogging until then.
Camping
We are going camping in Maine over the weekend. We seem to have the worst luck with camping. Almost every time we go, it rains. It seems this would be no exception. I should probably buy some rain gear before going. I bought a nice small backpacking stove recently. It is a Primus Yellowstone Lite.… Continue reading Camping
Savannah
A friend and I visited Savannah, GA on saturday. It is an interesting town with a lot more history than Atlanta. We wandered around in the historic district and the riverfront. We visited Savannah history museum which was kind of small. It had some good information about the history of the city. It seemed to… Continue reading Savannah
Impressions from Pakistan
I visited Pakistan after 5 years in December. I couldn’t do much there due to the weddings of both my brother and my brother-in-law. I stayed in Islamabad (my parents) and Wah Cantt (my in-laws), but also visited Karachi. But I thought it might be a good idea to blog about my observations. Some things… Continue reading Impressions from Pakistan
